Remapped S3 v's Civic Type R EK9

Dave it was extremely close....and no i dont talk ****.... nor do i make things up, whats the point for 1 and for 2 who am i helping?

How many 150brake T's have you seen that do 9secs 0-60......you talk **** matey, even the worst published figures arent that bad....

This topic is about the Ek9 not the Ek4 :) Just because its the shame shape dont mean its the same car. The jordan was a VTi this is a Type-R and a true Type-R. The Jordan was heavy due to its leathers but its still quicker than any 1.8 turbo.

Who are you kidding? My "1.8 turbo" would quite literally **** on a Jordan.

I have a friend who has owned 2 Ek9 Type R's and another who has owned an Ek4 VTi and a DC2 Integra Type R. The later being the best of the three by a long shot.

I *think* when Dave says "1.8 turbo" he's talking about the 1.8T, not the S3.

I was talking about the 1.8T, not the S3. As animal says his 1350kg 150bhp 1.8T beats a 158bhp 1150kg Civic :)

Dave this wasnt a stop starter......and i didnt dream it, although i think we are both astute enough to realise that driver ability is also a big consideration....

the scenario that i described happened, would the 1.8T do well in a totally fair race from a standing start...based on the figures you've quoted id guess not

wonder what the torque figures are on one of those against the 1.8T out of curiousity

my mate had a crx mk2 vt and it was quicker than an ibiza cupra up the 1/4mile and it was not just the once.it was about 170bhp and if you kept the revs up it was a rocket.on the way to ten of the best it was pulling on an escort cossy up a hill with the two of us in it.

has some fun with one of these today

was so funny was a 08 plate and he didnt think i could fly past i let him go first then see ya .... lol

I had a good one the other day, was about 4am so the roads were nice and clear with no Police to worry about.

Coming down the road about 30, as I was about to come onto the roundabout I saw this bloke coming round the roundabout at about 20ish, he went for the same road as I did

Got upto about 20mph behind him as its a narrow road, had a look round and just popped out and went round him, got upto about 25-30mph and backed off as I got just past him

Anyone else had any run-ins with the Dairy Crest Milk Floats? Think a standard S3 could struggle agaisnt one

Hahah, yeah I met one once coming out of my estate but he lost me on the bends. Torque from them batteries is immense ;-)
