I'm looking for some suggestions of places to get a cambelt\waterpump\tensioner job done on a 2000 Audi S3.

I am in southampton, but I don't mind traveling an hour or two for a good deal.

I've found references to the following guys in southampton

• Autotechnik in Southampton
• Abtech a local independant audi specialist

And also the following list

1. Listers Worcester = £300.45
2. Wakefield Audi = £359.51
3. Shrewsbury Audi = £382.40
4. Listers Stratford = £447.29
5. Smith Knight Fay = £465.07

I found a reference to a guy near London on this board a while back, Audi dealer (or specialist) doing it for £340...but I can't find it now!

Can anyone give me a good recommendation.

Some of the things i'd like:

• I want the job done for under £400.
• I'd prefer an Audi dealer, then an Audi specialist, then a normal garage..in that order
• Some where in Southampton, or en route to Fishguard

If you have looked at Wakefield audi then try Haselden`s just off junction 38 ( I think) near Barnsley they have a good rep. They are a VW dealer but they are very good. They also deal on ebay as silverwagon

Sorry cant help you in that area, I would personally say to go to a specialist though rather than a main dealer.

Also not heard anything of the last company, but it did make me look twice as i thought it said www.abte-chavss-ltd.com - thinking it was a CHAV company...lol.

Autotechnik went bust at least a couple of years ago. I think some of the mechanics may have gone to ABTech?
