Hi everyone, i'm a newbie and recently bought a '98 Audi 1.8T Sport.
The car has an aftermarket Cat 1 Alarm/Immob fitted and I assume its linked up with the original alarm system but i'm not certain of this.
The rear bumper is off the car being resprayed at the minute and i've had the alarm going off, but its not the Cat 1 alarm, its the factory standard alarm (i.e. Horn sounding) It's happened more today than normal but today is unusually windy outside. I've noticed that in the boot compartment there are vents that I can see daylight through and i'm wondering if the result of the bumper being off, the gusts are blowing through the vents and the change in pressure causing the alarm to sound.
Does this sound feasible?
