Car has done 98k now and is running really well.....


Yesterday my drivers window jammed (common prob)
parts are on order

Just noticed today CAT has a hole in it - Fooking marvelous
So need to decide what to do

de-cat?
Stainless system
OEM ?

Also my fecking car insurance re-newal has just come through

what else can go wrong- Even the CSA have been on my case as the evil ex wants more cash !!!!

Gutted for you mate - its right what they say about bad luck coming in three's. A3's in your case!!

On a side note I'd see whats the cheapest option. Maybe try and source a second hand one. in fact I've got a Mk4 TDI 150 downpipe and cat (sut catcher) - you can have it cheap if it will fit. It was off a 2004 car that had done around 30,000 miles.

From memory it was ARL - I dunno mate, you'll have to do some homework I would have thought. A trip over to UKMKIVS.NET might be required. If it doesn't fit you could always buy a PD150 turbo!

window fixed - total cost £4.56 for 2 new carriers

bit of a chew re-setting windows as one decidedit didn't want to play.

next job replace bust CAT ...... oooh i can't wait !!
