reverse lights

hey lads, my reverse lights seem to have stopped working.I bought a reverse light switch but after having this fitted it did not cure the problem, i have checked the bulbs before any of you decide to point this out,any other ideas of what it could be? cheers

well the garage who changed the switch suggested it is the wiring,but i had an electrician give it the once over and he believes it is the actual rod which pushes the switch in the first place?when he by passed the switch the lights were coming on
