Engine Oil for A3 1.8T

Hi Guys,

Just a quick one, is Castrol Edge 5W-30 the right Oil for my Car. I've read so many threads that i'm not sure which is the correct one??

Depends on the age of the car or if it is on longlife service intervals (i.e 20k). If so, Audi is the ideal place to go for their longlife oil. I personally came off that level of servicing at 60k and now use Valvoline Maxlife (semi-synthetic) 10w 40 with no complaints...Change it every 6k. Go for the well known brands such as you mentioned above synthetic or semi-synthetic 5w-30 is ok
