    Re: adjustable tie bars

    No, not a must.
If you are only lowering 10mm or you don't mind having way too much negative camber and a back end that's tricky on the limit, save your money.

If however, you want to set the geometry to make full use of rear drive and to give stability not twitchieness at the rear, you'll need them.

IRRC, lowering 20-25mm gives around -2 degrees rear negative camber...not ideal, especially with wide tyres and Haldex.

If handling is not your main proirity, you will be OK not to fit them...tyre wear is not adversely affected as far as I was concerned...I didn't have them fitted for 2 years and used H&R lowering springs...no adverse tyre wear in 15000 miles...but the handling was awful compared to reducing the resultant negative camber and beinmg able to utilise the drive out of corners that comes with closer to standard rear camber angles.

If you have coilovers and are looking to go very low...any lower than about -25mm, then from a handling point of view, you should have them fitted.

    Re: adjustable tie bars

Yes...I have the forge adjustable tie bars.

My static camber was over -2.0 degrees negative at one side and nearer -2.5 degrees at the other, before fitting the adjustable bars.

Now, I have it set at -1.0 exactly, both sides.

They are a pain to fit though...lot's to come off to get them in place!
    Worth it though.
