Converting 4WD 02M Gearbox to 2WD

I've been told it's just a matter of removing the transfer box and bolting a sealing plate over the aperture to block the oilway.

Can anyone shed any light on EXACTLY what's involved?

I have an LCR now and have a peloquin LSD on the way so wanted a spare box to play with.

S3/TT gearboxes are more common than the 2WD version it seems...

They are almost exactly the same as an S3/TT, apart from the obvious lack of transfer box take-off.

The flywheel? No, but that's not part of the gearbox anyway.

pretty sure this can be done, i know where people have dropped 2.0 tubro calibra / cavilier engines into corsa's etc it was just a case of doing this.

Yes I KNOW it can be done, I just need to know the details of how it's done.
