Help with replacing hazard warning switch

Hi there, I am looking for some advice with replacing the hazard warning switch on a A3. I imagine part of the surrounding trim has to be removed then remove the actual warning switch. Has anyone actually carried out this proceedure? If so can you please help me out. To be honest I can't even remember the location of the switch, I said I would pick up a one for my father-in-law yesterday while I was at the dealers.

Any help welcomed.

What year is the A3? Consoles differ between Facelift and earlier models.
