Hi, quick question was just driving round yesterday in my 1.6 a3 and the battery light came on, everything seems ok with the car runs fine but the light remains on, any ideas of what the problem could be? help would be appreciatied thanks. Zoobz

Mine came on when my alternator failed, it drove fine for a bit but I noticed the window wipers were slow and the electric windows were slow, I had to replace in the end, or it could just be your battery. They can check if its the battery or alternator worth getting this done first no point wasting £ on a battery only to find its the alternator.
could need replacing in the near future. id take it to kwik-fit they can do a quick battery test for you
It might be that the alternator belt is slipping? Can you adjust the tension on the A3/S3 alternator?
