I have the Neuspeed short shifter. It's states that it is for the Audi TT, but it fits all the same. I got mine from Awesome GTI for about £130.
As for fitting - it is a direct replacement for the OEM gear linkage and so removing the air filter box is required to be able to fit. I never fitted it myself, I got a local Audi specialist garage to fit it - half an hour to an hours labour.
