Cold Side Diverter Valve Relocation

Just wondering, has anyone on here done this?

I know its quite popular with the Jap boys, just wondering if any of you lot have had any experience with this on the 20vt engine?

I read about this a few years ago and came to the conclusion it wasn`t worth it. Some people said it helped other said just service the valve every year or x amount of miles.
