Ok this rattle is driving me crazy, its coming from the pedals and only happens when the revs are around 1500 ish so around town you hear it all the time.

Now I've had a good look around the pedals also behind the dash and nothing is loose, when you get down there it seems to be coming from just the other side of the bulk head but stops when you apply the brake.

The brakes work 100% Ok, the sound to me is like a loose bolt metal on metal rattle.

But of course you cant see anything at all from the engine bay, has anyone had this before or any idea were it may be coming from ????

Any help would be appreciated before i go insane!!!

Get one of those cd's that play out various frequencies, and allows you to isolate all the noises. Canna remember where ay get em tho, possibly JML.

could be one of the heat shields on your exhaust (espcially if it only happens at certain frequencies) this happend to me on my mk3 golf and it turned out to be the shield on the exhaust manifold.
