S3 BOSE Head Unit Frozen

Hi

Has anyone else had there BOSE radio Freeze on them when the buttons do not work and it can not be switched on or off.

It has the red back light still on but no words appear on the screen and nothing works.

How can this be resolved - it has been like it for a good few days and no change- the battery seems to be ok as it starts ok!!


Should I disconnect the battery - or will this mess up other things?

Any ideas, is there a reset switch?

You'll need to disconnect the battery, or pull the HU and unplug the black power plug, also check fuse on the rear of the HU and at the fusebox. Depending on the year of the car you may need to reinput the security code, so ensure you have the tear off card with the 4 digit number on it on the inside cover of the radio manual.

I had this and i removed and replaced the fuse in the fusebox by the door.
That cured mine
