ADVICE.. 20001 s3 - remap? decat?

Hi Folks
My 2001 s3 has been remapped although when phoninng my local audi / vw independent garage they say they can take it from 260 bhp to 275 bhp - this is called stage 2 remap - then u can go for a stage 3 which takes u to 295 bhp - can anyone shed any lihght on this? whats the if's and buts, and what are your thoughts?

Also will a decat pipe make much difference to my car - im running a standard car with remap and bmc cda filter - what you think about decat? if's and buts? power gains etc??

Im not too clued up so any suggestions will be appreciated!

My work college has a 225 bhp tt - he's getting it remappped tomorrow - so i want more horses now!!

You won't get 295bhp on the standard turbo. You have to swap it for a larger item of one of the new hybrids on the market.

For a remap on the standard turbo you won't see any extra gains from a de-cat pipe. The S3 exhaust is not restrictive at those power levels.
