Golf Mk5 GTi brakes on an A3

Will Golf Mk5 gti brakes fit on Audi A3 yr 2000?

what is needed to make them fit?

You can use MK4 R32.

Mk5 discs won't work, they're pcd112 not the pcd100 you have on the A3.

You'll be better off getting either TT discs, calipers and pads which is a 312mm upgrade as they come with the correct carriers and discs etc to fit the A3 assuming they fit the A3 hubs. No doubt someone will come along soon and confirm whether the above will fit.

There was a few sets of S3 brakes on ebay a few weeks ago, should be a direct fit.

lol...was just asking. I have both a set of GTi mk5 calipers/carriers...and an S3 setup.

the only thing is that the mk5 ones are already red , so wanted to put these on. Anyway, s3 already on now with new Zimmerman discs.

Any recommndations on pads?

yes the Audi TT 180bhp version brakes will be a straight fit
