My A3 got wrote off the other day, what would you all value it at for insurance purposes?

Bit high I'd say chap!

1.8T's of that age are only fetching just over 3 these days.

I'd say for a 1.6 pre facelift, 2.5k MAX, but I'd expect to pick one up for 2

Paid me out £3160 with £300 to buy it back, i now have an A3 which needs a front and rear bumper, front panel, n/s/r light, tailgate, and some serious bodging to the rear quarter to get it back on the road. Doing what i can myself, i recon i can get it done for around £700. Other options are, strip it and sell the parts, stick it on ebay as a salvage job, or keep it as a donor car for my next A3.
