ive done a search but its just 2 broad! i would hopefully like direct answers....

i got a 1999 1.6 (109k) and the car died out on me whilst driving.

my electrics are on, the engine turns over - but doesnt fire up.

its currently being diagnosed....has the fuel pump completely gone?

the RAC man managed to send electricity to the fuel pump via a fabricated relay of some sort and the car still didnt fire up.

could anyone help pleasee!

Thanks In Advance.

My S3 had starting problems and that was the cam sensor. dunno if this will help.

I had this and it was the crank sensor on mine, And it was around £70:wtf:

yer my guy said it wasnt this as it would have come up on the vagcom diagnostics check!

Check the fuel lines, maybe something has come undone. Also like has been mentioned possibly the crankshaft sensor.

It was the fuel pump on my S3.Same symptoms. £300 all in from local stealers. :(
