k04 help...

ive been considering buyin a k04 turbo but im confused....

my cars a quattro 1.8t remapped to 215 bhp if i put this turbo upgrade on i believe it should take it to 225bhp so if thats correct would i beable have it re-mapped again to go higher bhp??

Sounds right to me, S3 has Ko4 and so you should see up to 265? Do you already have a fmic? That price is quite tempting wish I had got a ko4 b4 getting my 1.8TQ mapped, will be money down the drain :S Mines only 200bhp could do with a bit more really, but then I dunno if its worth pumping cash into it or just buy another car!

the ko4 that is advertised is for a passat and will not fit a a3.i have a complet kit from a 2001 tt if your interested pm me.the kit has turbo/manifold/down pipe/cats/charge pipes&injectors.

To clarify, any kit for an A4/Passat/A6 won't fit as they are longitudinally mounted engines. You need a transverse kit for it to fit an A3 (which would be the same for a TT, Leon, Toledo, Golf, Bora, Octavia etc.

Consider one of the K03/K04 hybrids. These use the k04 shaft and wheels from the larger turbo placed into a re-machined k03s body. Effectively a bolt on mod achieving S3 k04 power figures. There are a few companies offering them now.

Just to add, get a kinetic motorsports large port exhaust manifold from the states. The k03/k03s manifold is kind of small.
