Looking for a good garage (slough, uxbridge, reading)

Hi there,

Loving the A3 (apart from the Auto tranny), but have been deeply disappointed by the work and attitude of staff thus far both at Reading Audi and Fontain, Iver. Can anyone recommend a good garage in the above areas. Storm developments was mentioned, but they are hard to get back to work from (I work in Maidenhead).

I need a 60K service and to get rid of the knocking noise coming from the left front suspension.

Hmmm...

Well i live fairly near to slough and i usually travel to APS to get anything done to my car. I refuse to pay Audi dealer prices.

APS might even Re-map your Auto tranny too?

The only ones I know are Vag Techniques in Peppard Common (henley-vw.co.uk) did my fan in an hour at £40+VAT. Small outfit just a couple of them, do all VAG cars, not the best looking place but were efficent and were happy to sort you out. They are a revo dealer so may know if auto transmission could be revoed.

Oh one other my mate has mentioned was the one near Oxford Station called AutoTechnics they do all makes but concentrate on VAG cars. My mate had his Ibiza done and said they were reasonable and did a good job. You can then hope on a train and head down to Maidenhead station if thats a possibility.

At the moment I am looking at either taking a ride to Swindon, and getting a hire car (240 for a service) as opposed to £420 in slough) or checking out one of your options above. Cheers again, and many thanks.

hello mate. theres a place called A.V.I.T in slough, never tried them but a m8 has and there audi and vw specialists. do a search on yell for them, worth a try
