Gearbox mount, help please

The n/s engine mount has cracked on my car,but because i have 5spd speed quattro with a 6 speed fitted i'm not sure of which part no to buy.Can someone with a early 6spd s3 give me their year /engine code to crossrefer part no's to.Thanks Andy

Well my S3 is pretty early, it's 2000 and the engine code for the early cars was APY. I'll check my gearbox code in a bit but from memory it's EUK.

Hi Andy, mine's a 1999 non ESP model, so one of the first, engine code is APY.

The mounts are the same fitment, I put a 6 speed quattro TT mount on my 5 speed Golf years ago.

Cheers guys ,the reason i'm asking is that the parts system is showing 1jo199555ah for quattro AJQ and 1jo199555aq for 6spd?and i've got a bit of both,lol,Andy

APY is 1jo199555ah and another no,confused.com.lol,Jeffers has had the same mount crack on his s3,so he is going to check the part no for me ,his is a early s3,anybody else had one crack?

I'll say again, the mounts are the same fitment. They will have different part numbers because they are different parts, however they are interchangeable.

The TT mount is stronger, see the fluted (almost like a heatsink) top face, it is oil filled also so acts almost like a hydraulic damper. I drained the fluid and injected sikaflex in for a stiffer mount.

No idea Andy, it was about 5 years ago when I did it, for the same reason that my 5 speed mount had cracked, i ended up getting the TT mount by accident...

I have a Motor mount of an APY 6 speed from year 2000.
The mount number is 1JO 199 262 BM.
