Help please

Hello people

I need help big time.
From the start bout a month ago i hit a pot hole well more like a hole.
My car went into VW where my mate works to do my rear pads and discs rear bushes and front bushes and links.
As he done that he has also spotted that the drivers side track rod end is ****** coz of this hole.
He got a new today put in on but still floppy and dont fit right.

So is there 2 sizes dose any one know? If not i have to get a new hub but dont want to pay £300 to £400 for one. If i get a second hand one will that be ok?

dont want to sound like your mate dont no what hes doing but if he works at vw and they get it wrong surley they shouldnt let it out of the workshop unless they are happy with it.

nar the car is still there on the ramp. The thing is they didn have one on the shelf so they/he got one from some where eles.
He now has to go back to see if thats the wrong one they sent on has a choice of 2 sizes

i know the a3 and s3 track rods and ends are different mate

Hope so is well it kills me not having a car. Good job my boss has given me the day off to sort it out...must be doing some thing right at work lol
