Some Identification help needed :S

Hello all

I've had my A3 1.8T Quattro about 18 months now and I'm loving it. Just recently started looking into tweaking it a bit and have ordered an Ecotek valve to kick me off.

Anyway, browsing the modding sites has made me realise how many variants there are and I'm struggling to work out what exactly I have. Its a late 1999 reg and the log book states it is a A3 1.8T Quattro however; the badge at the back has a red flash on the T and someone told me that its a Sport version.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding out for sure?

From your pics you have the sport alloys & it looks like it's a little lower than the standard A3's (it should be 20mm lower) so i'd presume yours is a sport.

failing that, phone audi and they would be able to tell you

Cheers for the response. I hadn't realised that the alloys denoted the Sport edition. This should make my browsing a little easier now.

well they were fitted to the 1.8T sports - 15" or 16" IIRC, the SE's had a different alloy design.

thats not to say they haven't been swapped over by a previous owner though.

the best check will be with audi themselves
