210 AMK engines whos had theres remapped?

Hi guys,

Anyone with the above had theres remapped? Just wondered who remapped it, what power you got? and if you've had any problems?

I understand Jabba dont like to map this engine as it has problems?

Well I had a generic map done by Jabba in August, after clearly stating it was an AMK. I have had no problems so far - I hope that I'm not tempting fate!

Had a Forge 007p and green panel filter fitted at the same time. Great noise (not OTT) and pulls like a train.

I haven't had it on a rolling road, but they said that is will be about 270Bhp/280 torque - I beleive Jabba are a little optomistic with their figures, but it still makes me smile so not too bothered by the figures.

I would have thought its the APY engines they dont like (pre-facelift).

Had mine done just over 3 years ago by AMD and never had any issues with it and they didnt make any fuss about it being an AMK. 272/290, figures are probably optomistic but in the end it feels like there is a decent improvement over standard when driving and thats what counts.

Mine was done 3.5 years ago by QST. It's an MTM car specific remap. I got 261bhp and 311lb/ft on QST's rolling road, and similar figures at the club RR day at AmD later that year. Only problem has been the need for a new clutch thanks to the torque figure.

Mine was done by awesome.. APR map.. very happy with no probs.. now running stg 2..

Must be something to do with the spray patterns of the injectors on APY engines, I remember reading sometime ago that they we're different.

Theres a lot of talk about Bosch injectors and spray patterns but there was a Bosch guy on VWVortex who actually designs the injectors and he said the entire VAG injector range didnt have any magic spray pattern and they are all the same, he basically rubbished this whole idea of specialist spray patterns.

And as luck would have it, I cant find the damn link now, but its definately on Vortex.

Jabba did a custom remap on my AMK and at the time i was on 110,000 i think now its closer to 130,000 and no problems. pulls really well, on digimoto software it says the BHP is 267. not had it RR yet but will sometime soon
