Smile Weitec Ultra GT 30mm Kit Photos

Hi guys... alot of people asked for some photos and opinions of the kit...so here goes:
Heres the kit...plus extra parts that I had delivered:

The delivery time was very quick... i think 2 days.

Here is my car on standard shocks and springs:

As you can see it looks like its on stilts!

And here is the car lowered 30mm on the weitec kit:

Now im very happy with the kit so far... the drop gives an OEM look compared to maybe the euro look of a larger drop which inturn would of involved replacing other parts and I may of possibly had rubbing issues with the ARB and driveshafts.
The ride quality is brilliant... I will state that I had new rubber top mounts, bearings and ARB bushes fitted at the sametime which was definately worth it. Barely cost anything and I had a knocking sound when going over bumps etc which was down too the bearing being cracked and the one ARB bush was shot aswell. Also just too finish things off I had all of the tracking done just incase.
So now the car handles like a brand new car. Ive driven the car 2-3 days now and the it holds very well in the corners with no roll at all. The roads around my area are terrible aswell... you can feel the pot holes etc but the kit does a very good job a soaking them up.
In conclusion if you want a good balance of great handling, comfort, low budget and OEM look then you definately cant go wrong with this kit!

    Costs:
Weitec 30mm springs and shocks: 269.00 thanks too dpm
Rubber Top Mounts: 8 each plus vat
Strut Bearings: 4.98 each plus vat
ABR bushes: 3.87 each plus vat
    Tracking: 21.30
Fitting cost: 130 (*cash - cough cough* ) note this included fitting the new cat in the photo above which was time consuming as the bolts holding the front pipe onto the manifold didnt wana budge.

All in all im a happy audi owner

I'm a big fan of the Weitec kits. I had them on my Mk4 Golf and did 90000 miles on them without any problems.

Very compliant ride (which was important to me).

However, the thing that impresses me the most is how consistent you are with your parking. It hasn't moved an inch between photos.
I'm an optimist but I don't think it helps much.

Looks great, looks about the same height as mine which is on the standard factory sport kit.
Skint because of my car, the forums made me do it

See i dont bother with all this modern bullsh!t of parking sensors... u know when your in the right place when you hit the kerb lol

As for the comment about not much difference... there is a clear difference.. and as I stated I wanted a more OEM look rather than scrapping the tarmac euro look.

Car looks great now! Did you happen to measure if drop was accurately 30mm?

I think I'll install same Weitec kit to my 1.8 before summer. I like my A3 except feedback of steering is usually (<120km/h) rather dead. Probably I should first replace bushings, but now yet sure with what. Polyurethane (Powerflex), original rubber, or investigate if S3 would have better OEM parts that fit. I've read so different comments about PU.

This Weitec -30mm kit is very nicely priced also in Finland. Nice to see you are happy with it!

Do they do 30mm, 40mm and 50mm kits for Weitec GT Kits then?

I didnt measure it but in all fairness I think the drop it gave me was over 30mm and the more I drive it the happier I am with it... only problem I have is having the decent handling that the kit gives has made me realise how **** the standard breaks are and that they need upgrading to give me a better all round package. Next job I guess
