Noisy rear diff...?

When pulling away slowly with full (or nearly full) lock in either direction, I am getting a grumbling noise from what sounds like the rear wheels. Does anybody have any thoughts or personal experience of this...?

any panels in the front wheel arches hanging off, using wider than normal tyres? Just saying as I got noises sounding like coming from the gear box, turned out to be the rear exhaust mount!

Maybe its something to do with needing rear tie bars?

Can't see any loose panels, tyres are 225/40 ZR 18... not abnormally wide..?!

I forgot to mention that this doesn't happen going backwards...

does this only happen with full lock on ???

if so sounds cv joint ish but that woul dbe at the front ????
