Got a question regarding servicing.

My car was last serviced on 68k, it was on 76K when I bought it and its now on 80k.

I know my 80K service is due but when I check the service indicator it says another 4K until service?

Do I go by the mileage or the indicator?

Normally I would go by the service indicator as it is on AVS. But common sense does prevail every now and again, as you say you are on 80k and it last had a service 12k ago, is it worth waiting the extra 4k? Also at that level if you haven't had the cambelt done it would be worth getting it in asap. With the 80k bear in mind what you have to have done i.e. haldex oil, brake fluid, plugs, packs, cambelt, oil change, filters, MOT etc

Had the cambelt and waterpump done first week I had the car, couldn't stretch to a service at the same time though !

I was thinking of just going off the mileage anyway, got the old Avus wheels on ebay at the minute so hopefully they will give me a bit of cash to sort the service (at an independent).

MOT in July and it needs brakes asap :faint:
