Help with EPC Light?

Hi,

I've just got my car taxed/insured etc but it has been sat on my drive for nearly 2 weeks, and then before that it was sat in a unit of the previous owner.

The alarm went off randomly about a week ago and after that the car had a flat battery, so I jump started it and all was fine however the EPC light is constantly displayed on the dash.

Could it be a problem with the battery and I need a new one? or have you got any other ideas?

EPC = electronic pedal control.

Could be anything without getting it scanned.

Could be as cheap as a new brake pedal switch, could be as expensive as a new accellerator pedal.
