Strange beeping

When i start my car in the morning there's 3 beeps sounding like it comes from the boot.

Its only in the morning though after its been stood all night, no lights or anything come on the dash.

The ECU was recently taken out and worked on, but it was put back in Saturday and the beeps occured Sat when i started it, Sunday morning and again this morning.

Any idea as to what it is?

I would say it is the car alarm's internal battery warning you that it is getting low. If it does it every now and again it isn't the end of the world. The cold weather drains the battery more so emphasises the problem.

However, if it does it every time then the battery may be too flat andthe alarm may not function properly because of it.

I believe you cannot replace just the battery, but if you search for "beeps" and you are bound to find more info on it.

Do you have VAG COM?

when i arm the alarm i get 1 beep from the boot. could be something to do with the alarm.

Ours did that, when I changed the main car battery it stopped so it could be that

Bula, if it is the alarm battery in the boot, I have a new unused one, boxed up if you want to make me an offer...Audi genuine part, number 8L0 951 605 A
