Decent fascias when replacing standard radio/cass

Does anyone know where i can get a decent quality fascia to surround the CD player i have fitted in my S3?

I got one from halfords but its very poor quality and the fit is crap.

OR.....does anyone have a Audi cd player that i could buy that would fit perfectly??!!!

know what you mean

have replaced head unit with front load pioneer/mp3 etc +front speakers so far.
2 amps +sub to follow/rear shelf etc. and the only thing that will look **** is the autoleads surround.

any ideas anyone.

need to run power cable to rear of car under carpet etc with rca leads is this gonna be a nightmare? got to do it for some real sound just wondered how long.

hopefully main amp will go behind left hand panel in boot its a 4 channel 549 kenwood so quite big still undecided where to put mono amp for sub, its a bit narrower . but!! if you know what i mean.

Guys

When I replaced the standard Concert radio in my old A4 with an aftermarket jobbie, I bought blank inserts from Audi for the holes either side. I think they exist for the A3 too, no??!! I assume they'll be the same as that for the A4, given that the aperture size and finish is exactly the same between the two cars.

I bought some facia adapters from Audi for my A3. Daylight robbery at 14.00, but they do match the rest of the plastic. Not sure they'd match an S3 though as I dont think they come with the black shiny finish, only satin.

I'll nip out of work at lunchtime and take a pic if you want...

Yep the OEM Audi facia inserts are the only ones to have if you want it to look good....the autoleads ones are nasty.

Cheers for this post .. I didn't know that Audi did fascia adaptors.. was put off by the halfords ones cos they looked crap .. in fact it stopped me upgrading the stereo .. I'll definatly have to put it back on the 'to-do' list again now.. ( bugger).

styling and stereo should always be on top of anyones list when a car is involved..

a women only notices 3 things no infact 4

1) the colour
2) the name if shes clued up on cars
3) it must be clean and newish
4) it must play her favourite CD and able to play it loud

lol

everything else is a waste of time if you get a car to attract women! lol

Just had a barney with the other half 'cos I've ordered a new Minidisc, CD changer and speakers. She's under the illusion that I should spend the same amount on her!!

She's clearly deluded!
