How the HELL do you change sidelights on an S3

I have tried this afternoon to change my sidelights and am damed if i can get the buggers out of there sockets.

I even got a shaving mirror and torch from the bathroom to try and help me but to no avail.

There is so little space behind the headlight I cant get to them.

Any ideas ?

i just pulled the wires that go into the sidelight, they're held in strong so dont be shy and pull them to get the bulb out

Yup, pull on the wires firmly as above, I prefer to do it when the weather is warm though, things are more brittle in the cold, but when you have no choice, guess you have to take the risk!

Cheers guys did one side and the bulb wasnt the colour i wanted so i will have to order some more now.
