    Which Discs and Pads??

OK OK, I know there has been a lot of posts about this before but I will be looking at new brakes in the new year and want to know what people recommend. I have redstuff on OEM discs at the mo and discs are well tired now so will be changing the lot. What do people suggest? don't mind spending a reasonable amount but I won't be doing a 750 upgrade!
Your thoughts and suppliers would be appreciated................

    P.S.

    Seasons Greetings

I recently went for Black Diamond Grooved disc's all round, with Ferodo DS2500 pads on front, and standard pads rear.

Breaking is Very good from cold, and never faded yet! Nice oem feel to them too.

Supplied from Motorsportworld, rear pads from Audi.

I recently went for Black Diamond Grooved discs front and Ferodo DS (not 2500's) front. So far they seem good. Maybe a little noiser when hard on the brakes than standard but that is due to the grooves. Still bedding in so maybe too early to tell as I haven't had a proper blast yet.

One reason I went for the DS's as opposed to the DS2500's is because apparently the 2500's don't have the wear sensor (might be wrong) and I wanted the peace of mind that I would be warned when the pads next needed replacing - maybe being I'm being a little paranoid. Plus they are about £35 cheaper.

I got the pads from Larkspeed and discs from 247ppd.com, but 247ppd.com supply both.

    Hope this helps,

    ICE

I replaced all my discs and pads with Zimmermann drilled discs with pagid pads rear and OE front pads (because of the wear indicator). Trouble free so far, fitted around jan/feb last year i think.

Grooved discs with decent pads work well.
I use Black Diamond discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads...and they are superb.

They work slightly better on bikes or performance cars due to surface area and they help keep the pad face "Clean" and so on

Just a bit pointless on a family hatchback
