GET IT DONE :hubbahubba:

got the upgrade done today and WOW, the driving has so much changed, much much better :)

went for the VR6 clutch kit (sachs) and ABF lightened flywheel

:rockwoot:

Next mods: Big brakes and Coilovers

can that setup be used on an a3 quattro?

It is a fantastic upgrade.

300ft.lb clutch plate and a 50% reduced flywheel makes for an amazing clutch.

Hotgolf's work is amazing on lightening the flywheel, I have no vibrations at all on idle.

Way better drive isnt it!

what setup can be used on an a3 quattro 1.8t?

Yeah Dave, it's Martin (hotgolf) who did the work. Got an ABF flywheel for £10 and Martin did his wonders on it. Top work and top guy :)

the drive is just excellent, has so much changed and revs better. Biting point is spot on. No chatter/vibration at all.

Rich and grathies: It's the Golf VR6 clutch kit with a Golf G60/ABF engine flywheel.

I was unaware that the 1.8 8v G60 (PG/1H) flywheel was the same as the 2.0 16v (ABF) flywheel? I know the VR6 clutches are a cheap way to a strong clutch on the Golf

Nik, I don't know which one will work on the quattro

and Dave, thanks again for all the advice :)

I also had my flywheel lightened by Hotgolf. I sent him a brand new G60 flywheel. It came back nice and light approx 6kg.

Top fella, quick turnaround.

Wicked! I have a new clutch and flywheel waiting in my house ready for hotgolf to work his magic on!!

Cant Wait!!
