I've got a A3 Sline with DSG on order, but after 3weeks I still don't have a build date.Getting bored!!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/snore.gif

Question is two fold, is DSG worth it and secondly if I go manual I can get a car much quicker.

Thoughts any one!!

PS Also does anyone know why you cant have a Sline A3 manual?

Yup, agree with above.

If you want the most sophisticated and smooth clutchless manual box with sequential or automatic changes the DSG is the best available - no question. It's stunning technology.

BUT...

it does take a lot of the fun and driver control out of the driving experience.

So depends what you're after. For me give me a good manual stick shift and clutch any day. But maybe I'm a dinosaur /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Cheers

Just got delivery date week 21!!! told dealer no. So he has offered me two cars

red, with black leather, bose, manual TDI
or
dolphin grey alcantra DSG tdi

Thoughts

PS Left field idea leon cupra TDI V quick I'm told!!!

Hmmmmm, shame you cant combine those two cars together, what colour's the alcantra, is it a blue/black split ?

What other options do these cars have or is that all ?
I'm swaying towards the red at the moment, only because its manual and has Bose, not a fan of Red cars though.
