Buying a 2nd hand A3 1.8T 2001

I have had a look around last weekend for an Audi A3 1.8 Turbo and have come across a 2001 model it has 102000 kms on the clock and it looks really good.

There are a couple of problems but not major, first of all it has a dint on front right 1/4 panel, right at the bottom near the door, but they have agreed to fix that.
Also it needs a major service.

But apart form that it is all looking really good.

Is there anythhing I should check with these cars?

Bottom of the doors for rust, see the sticky at the top of the page.

It is a hard one to check as you have to take off the plastic bit.

But no visible rust above it.

Build plate date: 10/200
Compliance Plate date: 01/2001
Engin code: AUM

Sould this model be the face life model?

Also should this car have the DIS?

Also I have a list of Optional Extras Codes, does anyone know where I can find a list for what there are?

I have found a decoder for the optionals, one is:
9Q0 = without multi-function indicator/on-board computer

Dam, does anyone know, if I got a DIS from the wreckers, or even the Enhanced DIS, could I put it in alright, are the wires there and it just needs to be pluged in, or are they not there are all?
