What The Differance Between A3 doors and a S3 door...

Just come out of Tesco, and one massive dent and crease and a lump of paint missing from my door.. Not happy...

Dont really want to claim on the insurance, so is a normal a3 door the same a an S3 door?

If it's a 3 door A3 (duh, obviously) then yes.

the S3 has the little gregish strip that runs along the bottom of the door... can you attach this to a normal a3 door?

If you can attach it to it, or weather there is a recess behind it...
