CV boot

Just noticed my drivers wheel is covered in grease,on closer inspection I see the CV boot is split,Is the CV gator from a MK4 Golf just the same as the S3,The reason I ask,There is a VW dealer up the road from me and my nearest Audi dealer is an hour away ??

I would say that the Golf 4Motion uses the same CV boots. You will probably find that the CV boot is common to a lot of other VAG models also...

Don't quote me but I think the S3 boot is the same as late model 6 speed Passats.

The dealer will have the same parts filches anyway...

VW woul dbe able to get you one even if they havn`t one in, get the kit with all new bits inc stretch bolt for about 18 quid.

the right tool for the clamp is a good idea as they are a swine to get tight enough . the tool is 12-18 quid also form a motor factors
