s3 wastegate problem

Hello there,ive got a problem with the wastegate bypass valve on my 2001 s3 not working properly ive brought a few new ones but no joy .its not boosting properly so got it looked at and they said that is the problem.can anybody help please??

Do you mean Dump Valve(DV) when you say wastegate? If so, you need a re-circulating as opposed to a blow off one used on Jap cars, or the car won't run properly.

a garage put it on the computer and the fault said wastegate bypass vavle malfunction.i have have had 2 new standard dump valves and now ive got a baileys re-circulating 1.

might be your wastegate actuator is stuck if theres no boost at all, just stops the turbos pressure by dumping the usually excess pressure into the exhaust and stops over boosting or so i think.
could also be your N75 might not be working properly.
can't really think of owt else
ou ou ou a hose popped off somewhere??

if it was the actuator do you know how i would fix it.ive never had it off before ? thanks
