how stronge are the stock internals?

As i have mentioned before i am thinking about nitrous, and was wondering if the stock internals are up to the job of 265bhp pluss a 50bhp shot of nos with a progresive controler. So we would be looking at around 310bhp,not sure on the torque. Im waiting on interpro to get back with a price.

    thanks..

IMO I that should be ok based upon power. I believe the boundary is more in the range of 330 - 350bhp. The torque capacity of the standard gearbox is around 300 - 310 lb/ft which some cars can exceed with just a rechip (my MTM map is putting out 312 lb/ft) and after a three years / 30k of driving the clutch started to slip so I upgraded to one with a 330lb/ft limit.

Its possible to break an engine with less power if the torque occurs at low revs, so make sure if you use nirous, that you go for a progressive kit.

yeah the guy was saying you need to get the nos in once you are up and running so theres not to much stress on the drive and internals.
    should be fun
