Where to buy bushes from

Hi

The car's done 110k and do get some rattling in my steering and occasional squeaking so think it's time to change the bushes.

There are lots of posts on here but still don't know which ones to change and where the best place is to get it from.

Any help would be appreciated. Won't be changing them myself so will be taking them to my local garage.

Steering rack bushes, wishbone bushes, anti roll bar bushes and engine mount are the usual upgrades for people to the Powerflex ones. You will really notice a difference aswell, the car will feel alot tighter if you know what i mean.

id stick with std bushes unless you want a bone shaker.

depends on what you want from the car if its pretty std then deffo stick with std audi bushes. Just fitting new std ones you will feel a vast improvement.

fitting upgraded bushes is not always the best thing to do unless you are committed to going down the mod route but upraed bushes would be low down on my list of mods tbh

The powerflex bushes don't get good write up's on here, to harsh. Interested in knowing what you go for as I need to replace a few myself.

The only bush that I found made the car feel harsh was the dog bone mount. I loved the feeling of the uprated wishbone bushes.

Having said that, after a couple of years the front bushes are looking a little worn and the metal insides are showing which have now rusted.

I'm going to fit a compromise shortly. I'm going for TT wishbone bushes as they are solid rubber unlike the standard A3 items. Not sure what the S3 has?

Never fit ploy bushes to the rear of an A3, buggers the passive rear steer. Poly bushes at the rear are okay for quattro cars.

Spoken to my local specialist (Midland VW) who can do all the bushes for me for £300 except they said steering rack bush does not need to be changed. They do not recommend powerflex or from euro car parts but original audi. Price includes 4-wheel alignment. Time to start saving I think. Hopefully this will stop the big click/creak noise when I first turn the steering wheel after parking it up overnight.

Super pro are the ones i suggest. A lot softer than the powerflex ones. If your really fussy then you can possibly get them made in various different hardnesses.
Ive done all mine in Superpro and the car handles massively better but is not too harsh
