Central Locking Problem....

Ok....

My central locking does not work on the fob, or with the key in the lock...

Ive looked at a old post , and located the unit, (next to the sub, with a foam casing around.

Ive looked at this, but there is no hoeses coming off it... So a lil bit confused?

Found it, took all the plastic trim out of the rear, and found the B$£%&*D...

Its makes funny noises so im guessing its a dudd..

Going to open it up and have a look around...

Here is an exploded view of the central locking system on a 3dr 8L. Might help you locate the item you are looking for.

Ok..

Found the problem, Just opened it, and took the circuit board out... Was all balck, and had carbon like deposits all over it.
Anyway there is a lil wheel cog thing inside, which is plastic, looks like they have all snapped off, causing the wheel to just spin around inside no catching anything... Hence no unlocking or locking!

Its a graphite vane style pump if its come apart as you say its fecked and they are £300 quid from the stealer's. Whats more with the design it is in effect a wear part!! Clever for Audi but not for us!! Changed mine and then you have to programme keys also!!
