Afternoon chaps,

Has any body changed their brake fluid?

Will need to do mine fairly soon. What will I need to do it?

I've bled brakes before, so confident with taking apart etc.

Also any recommendations of which one to buy, and where to get it from?

Cheers
Andy

Use a one man pressurised setup. Only presurise to about 1bar max (due to ABS valves).
Remove most of the old fluid from the master cyl before fitting bleeder with turkey baster or syringe.
Bleed clutch first.
Then rear passenger wheel, rear driver wheel, front passenger and then front driver (actually, double check that sequence before commencing. Could be wrong).
Pump brakes a few time, or better still drive car about, then repeat to remove any excess air.

Clutch slave nipple is 9mm (I think). Wheel nipples are 11mm.

Ezibleed from halfords works okay, but if you can find a hand pump type power bleeder, they are better.

Oh yeah, don't allow the master cyl to run dry at any point. It will introduce air to the ABS block, and then you'll have to cycle the ABS pump with VAGCOM, which takes ages and loads of fluid.

1 litre of fluid should be enough for a fluid change.
