Had my S3 3 months now and every now and then, and i'm only talking a handfull of times, if i pull up and put it in reverse, the car really struggles to move in reverse. I'll then select neutral, put it back in reverse and it'll be fine. A week or so ago it did it when i was reversing into my girlfriends drive, so i selected neutral and it was fine until i turned off the ignition and the car let out a fairly big judder. The car was in neutral.
Then, last night at the girlfriends i select reverse and it struggled, so i selected neutral then it gave off a massive bang and judder to which i f*ckin shat myself. I've never heard anything like this from a car. I neutral'd it again and selected reverse and it was fine!!
It may be a coinsidence but it mostly happens when i'm reversing into the gf's drive which is ever so slightly uphill.
Anyone any knowledge of this?
Cheers guys, Paul.
