my temp sensor decided to come loose and dump all the coolant out :(

so im off to audi to get some, how many litres does the system take?

ive just been sat at the roadside when i noticed the temp gauge over 100 :(

also why am i finding it difficult to plug the sensor back in? :S

Two bottles of coolant should be cool, the rest water.

4.5L total system IIRC

aye after a bit of jiggery pokery were sorted :) just have to refill the coolant system, that was a bit of a hair moment!

use g15 coolant only !!

unless you are flusing out all the 'old' g15 (red stuff) as it wont mix with other off the shelf coolants. no need to dilute as it's a pre-mix.

you mean G12? ive just been to the stealers and got some of the G12 plus, however after filling the resevoir it isnt going down, theres is no coolant in the system because ive just checked where the temp sensor is and its empty, how do i get it to flush the coolant through the system so i can keep adding more untill its all nice and full?

why cant you use normal water ???

i always thought coolant was for winter like using anti freeze
