Need to replace rear discs & pads on 2002 1.8TS Quattro. I'm not driving the car hard so any info on what parts are best to replace much appreciated.
The rear calipers are lucas so do the pistons push in or screw in
Ta much!!:meeting:

Might aswell stick to OE if you don't drive it hard, try your local motorfactors, or GSF/Eurocarparts for best prices on disks and pads. Caliper piston is screw in, so you will need a caliper wind back tool.

Is the caliper wind back tool a specialist item or can something be "adapted" . Done screw back ones before with screwdriver/similar!!!

i just used an adustable spanner to wind them back, not ideal but does the trick, just watch for brake fluid leaking out the resevoir though

Forgot to ask - how do calipers come off - couple of bolts???
DOH!!!!!
