Audi S3 Grill Removal. Primer, Paint, Lacquer

Hello,

just wondering how i remove the grill surround from my s3? Looking at de-chroming it. What paint have people used? Matte or Gloss? What Grade sand paper? etc etc. any info or how to's would be great.

I used Matt, I know a lot of people use satin.
