2000 AUdi A3 Facelift model....

Need to get a timing belt done for above car. Finding it hard to find local independant to do it.
Wondering if it is a big job to attampt myself.

It's only the 1.6 petrol engine so I assume it's not as big a job as say the 1.9Tdi

Any help would be appreciated

Its as big a job regardless of the engine reall

unless ur competent mechanically u'll save grief in the long run by getting an independant to do it i'd say

That might explain why my local guys are reluctant to do it....maybe its a work guarantee reason, too much hassle for them....might have to price at stealers...which will be around the €800 mark or more, which is robbery for a 7 year old car!

Yeah that is robbery, dont pay any more than £300(€450ish?) tops and get an independant to price it for you

Wasnt the 2001 A3 the facelift? Or were there different facelifts for different countries?
