Afternoon all...have just bought a new engine, and need to get it from Merseyside up to where my car's in the garage, in Fife. And I don't have time.

Has anyone had an engine couriered before, please? If so, any ideas who I could contact? And how much it might cost?

Any help would be much appreciated :)

Thanks,
greg

Just my 2p:

Ask if the seller is willing to put the unit on a pallet. Then contact a courier ( there are some who only do palletised (SP?) goods).

We have to move pallets at work quite a bit and this is what we do. I can dig out a name if you want. iirc it is fairly cheap (sub £60) if it is on a pallet.

Hi colinra - that's my problem mate, getting the geezer to get a pallet, & strap it up!
Hoping to avoid that bit - as he's none too enthusiatic to help on that front - or get whoever couriers it for me to take care of it.

Might have to try to convince him though, at this rate - will let you know, depending on what eh comes back with.

Thanks,
greggers
