Hi, I've bought a '98 1.8T and was told by the guy I bought it from that I had keyless entry but the fob wasn't working, i now believe that he wasn't quite telling the truth as the key itself doesn't look like it was remote. I read somewhere that there was a website that you can enter your VIN number in and it'll tell you if you have keyless entry installed and just need to reprogram a fob.. Is this true? Does anyone know said website? Or would I need to contact the dealer?
Also, if it does have keyless entry is it as easy as some people suggest to reprogram a standard key, i.e. messing about turning igniton on and off and pressing the button etc...
