when does S3 turbo kick in?

    Hi everyone

Im just in the process of trying to estasblish what is causing the extended turbo lag i have.

At the moment it kicks in at 2200-2400

    what should it be normally?
The rest of the car is fine, i might start with the dv first as its 20 as well as chcking the hoses

On mine, boost threshold is slightly below 2k, but it doesn't make any meaningful boost until 2.2k ish.

I think mine starts to produce boost around 1700rpm however you should be getting full boost by around 2200rpm.

Your car sounds normal mate, recognisible boost at about 2200ish before and after remap (just more of it afterwards).

I have a 2001 S3 and the boost comes just under 3000 RPM. I do have mine remapped with Revo SP2.

Gonna take it to Dom at D-Tec Performance next week for a quick check on VAG.com just to make sure everything is okay and stuff.
